Due to COVID-19 and its impact, we will be permanently closing Pawsitive Dog Daycare on Friday, 6/12. During our reopening period we are only open to existing parents with current packages and are not taking new customers.

What are your requirements for daycare and sleepovers?

  • At least 3 months old with all booster shots

  • Proof from your vet of the following vaccinations

    • Bordetella - within the past 6 months (applies to both the intranasal and injected versions)

    • DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza)/DAP or DHPP/DAP vaccine & Leptospirosis vaccine- within the past 12 months

    • Rabies - shot must be given annually or every 3 years

  • Dogs 6 months or older must be spayed/neutered

  • Must be on a regular flea and tick prevention, like Frontline or Advantage

  • Must be on a regular heart worm preventative

  • Parents must complete a profile via our online portal

  • Complete and pass a temperament test day

Since we want to always provide a positive environment for all our furry guests we do not allow dogs with behavioral and/or aggressive issues for both daycare and boarding.

Out of respect for our residential neighbors we will not allow pups who are constant barkers.

How do I make a reservation?

To request a test day, daycare day or sleepover stay please visit the Reservation Request page and select whether you are a new or existing parent. New parents will be asked to set up a profile for them and their pup.

Please see below for our cancellation policy.

What will my dog do while he/she is there?

Your dog will get to run around, play with other dogs, and have a fun-filled day!

Pups get to play from when they are dropped off to when they are picked up. We do give them a mini break in the middle of the day for them to eat and/or nap. This creates structure and allows your dog to recharge for afternoon play.

What is your dog to handler ratio?

We are a smaller facility and focus on providing a quality experience for your dog. We aim to keep our ratio to a 12 dogs/handler maximum.

What is the sleepover arrangement like? Are you able to accommodate dogs who don't like kennels/crates?

Our standard sleepover arrangement consists of a comfortable bed within a kennel that is the appropriate size for your dog.

We understand there are dogs who are not fans of kennels so we are able to accommodate them with a comfortable bed within one of our indoor play areas. This is at no additional charge, just let us know in your dog's registration form.

To help soothe your pup, we play some relaxing music in the sleepover area.

Is daycare included in the sleepover fee?

Yes, all dogs joining us for sleepovers will get to enjoy a full day of daycare.

Should I bring my dog’s food from home?

We highly encourage you bring your dog’s food to avoid any upset tummies.

However, we do have food available at $2/day/dog. We use Kirkland Signature Nature's Domain salmon meal & sweet potato dog food.

Do you have a fridge available to store special diet food or medication?

Yes, we do have a fridge available for storing your dog's food as well as any medication.

Can you administer my dog’s medications?

We are happy to administer medications like pills and ointments at no additional cost. Please provide details of the medication and instructions in your dog’s registration form. If your dog is on a temporary medication not reflected in their initial registration form, please send us an email to let us know.

Do you offer tours?

We offer tours Monday - Friday 7 - 7:30 am and 6 - 6:30 pm by appointment only. If you’re interested in a tour, please reach out to us via phone or email so we can get that scheduled. Tours are for humans only as we get to know your dog on their test day.

What if I need to cancel?

We have different cancellation requirements for regular, non-holiday dates vs. holiday dates, please see below.

Regular, Non-Holiday Reservations

We require cancellations be made

  • 48 hours in advance for sleepovers

  • 24 hours in advance for daycare

Canceling within the 48 hours for sleepovers and 24 hours for daycare will result in a 50% charge of the original reservation.

No shows with no cancelation notice (no call or email) will be charged the full amount of the original reservation.

Holiday Reservations

We require cancellations be made

  • 5 days in advance for sleepovers

  • 3 days in advance for daycare

Canceling sleepovers within the 5 days will result in owners being charged for the first 3 nights of the original reservation. If the reservation is for less than 2 nights or less, owners will be charged 50% of the original reservation.

Canceling daycare within the 3 days will result in owners being charged for the full amount of the daycare fee.

We do not offer daycare on Thanksgiving day, Christmas Day or New Year's Day.

Can I drop off/pick up my dog outside of the listed hours?

We are happy to accommodate a pick up during the day outside of the designated drop off/pick up hours as long as you let us know ahead of time. Please reach out to us via phone or email to coordinate it.

Once we close for the day, our time is dedicated to our sleepover guests and to get some much needed rest so we do not offer after-hour drop offs or pick ups.

What if I can’t pick up my dog from daycare by 6:30 pm?

We require that all daycare pups be picked up by 6:30 pm. We understand that things may pop up, so we allow a 15 minute grace period for emergencies if parents call us by 6:30 pm to notify us.

A $15 late fee will be applied if

a) parents notify us but miss the 15 minute grace period and arrive between 6:45 and 7 pm

b) we don't receive a notification call

Once 7pm hits, any remaining dogs will join us overnight and parents will be charged the sleepover fee. Parents will be able to pick up their dog the next day.

Do you offer grooming?

We do not offer grooming services. However, we recommend our friends at As the Fur Flies for all your grooming needs. We've partnered with them so that Pawsitive Dog Daycare customers get 10% off their first visit at As the Fur Flies, just let them know when booking your appointment.

What happens in the event of an emergency?

We know your pups are family so we take every precaution to keep them safe. In the case of an emergency involving your pup, we work with our official vet, PAZ Veterinary East, to make sure your pup is immediately taken care if needed. We will of course notify you ASAP of any emergencies and keep you informed.

Do you provide picture updates or have webcams?

We want to show off all the fun your dog is having so we post pictures and videos on our Instagram. Follow @pawsitivedogdaycare!

At this time, we do not have webcams.
